A blank canvas offers a mass of potential when it comes to designing your own home. I plan on sharing my home transformation on my new ‘Interior’ section. Home Sweet, New Home.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a chance to sit down and write. So long, that I typed in my work password instead of my personal one. Long sigh! The midst of real life annoyingly seems to be getting in the way these days. (Violin melody over.)
With that moan over, I have some exciting news that I’d like to share with you. From now on, there will be a new category in my blog: Interior.
I’m currently in the middle of a move and thought it would be a nice idea to document the process. I’ve always been a massive admirer of home and interior design, so it’s something that I’ve always followed and researched. I am not a qualified designer or home decorator, so if you choose to follow my interior home posts, they will mainly reflect my taste and style.
I’m moving into what is essentially a blank space, filled with white walls and masses of potential. I like to consider it my dream canvas.
Expect lots of DIY projects undertaken by myself and the boyfriend. I like industrial designs with a clean finish. I like distressed, knotted wood and unusual plants. I like rustic, rich walls and novelty decorative pieces. I like fresh home scent and marble. I also like reasonably priced bargains!
All of the above can be sourced in Dubai but like everything else in the UAE, it comes with a hefty price tag! My aim is to achieve my ‘Pinterest worthy’ home at a reasonable price. Wish me luck!
I have already started to document my moving process via Instastories on @myamydiary so if you want to jump on my moving bandwagon, head over there. Pinterest has also been my ‘go to’ app during this time, so if you would like to follow my Pinterest ‘Home’ pinboard please click here.
Love, Amy X
